First to answer a previous question about suspension. I weigh under lbs. I think the ride and the handling are fine. I installed a pair of small Cree lights, mounted in place of the fork reflectors and a Yoshi fender eliminator.
I mounted my Garmin on the left bar.

Finally, I made a rack to replace the the rear seat. Thus equipped, I headed up to North Carolina last week. I ended up chasing tropical storm Alberto and hit some torrential downpours, always, it seemed while on some little mountain road. Also encountered mud slides, running water on the roads, and some flooding.
Anyway the trip went well, the MT performed just fine. I averaged 58 mpg for the trip and the only complaint I have is the seat gets real hard after a miles or so. Of course that could be, as my riding buddy says, I have no butt at I found the abbreviated front end, while providing no protection from rain, did put my head in clean air to the point that I could crack the visor and it would remain open, not snap shut like every other bike I've had.
Other than that, there is nothing the bike needs. It is exactly what I was hoping for when I bought it. Blue MuleCigarinroads and 2 others like this. Pairing the proper bulb with the correct reflector is very important for the performance of the headlight. No worries at all. BarryBJan 24, Ok, Harry Potter. Time to conjer up some new photos of your heresy! ADV Sponsors.
Harry PotterJan 27, Joined: Oct 27, Oddometer: I could probably cover all the paved hi-ways in a four county area in one day on the FZ I couldn't wait another two years for the Yamaha T so I decided to try something in the mean time, a gravel road ready FZ So some photos of the FZ The bike had bar end mirrors when I got it.
Also in the top photo are the blue flashing pen lights next to the aftermarket blinkers which are way better than the aftermarket signal indicators that where on the bike when I got it.
The red foot pegs from EBay drop one inch and are wider for standing. In the second black and white image you can see the silver spacers I put in to lift the National Screen up to give better wind deflection, Oxford heated grip controller, Garmin mount, and the bar mounted two outlet phone charger. Attached to the phone charger is a signal dynamics voltage indicator. In the third image you can see Givi Mono Key hard case mount. The rear fender and blinkers were gone when I got the bike so I put on Yamaha's tail tidy.
I am not happy with the current rear signal indicators. The cable hanging next to the seat is a Powerlet jumper cable connector so I don't have to remove the seat to jump start. In the fourth image you can see the temporary Air Hawk cushion, another view of the Wolfman panniers and tank bag, and not well seen is a S3 Trials handlebar giving much better stability in gravel.FZ-07 Frame Sliders, Speed Rails, Axle Slider, Case Savers MT-07 XSR700

Please choose one Please choose one Website Store Tell us more.I just installed my new cyclops headlight Everything looks good but I do not have that concentrated center light like you guys have?
I have the same light through out if that makes sense? I did use the spacer that was included, mine only came with one. I wonder if I need to do better on my aiming?
Is it possible to install the bulb wrong? Like for instance up side down? Second: Have you tried those lights on really twisty roads? Only twisties where I live so I need good lighting when leaning in corners! I just ordered mine and it came today and looks different than any of the other pictures I have seen thus far.
The circuitry below the LEDs is now covered and both top LEDs have a curved "shield" Just wondering if I got the correct bulb and if it is an even newer updated verson or possibly an old one. I got it from Rocky Mt Atv since they are close by me. I had to adjust the vertical angulation of the bulb after installing it. The new version looks very much like the new emmitter filament emulation design the Phillips use.
Big improvement. I have the old style bulb that came without a spacer or reflectors. Quick question Was giving my bike a wash and when I was drying I discovered cloudy wet blotches on the outside exterior of the lens. Turns out that moisture is getting inside the headlight. Dumb question but is this because I didn't put the black rubber boot circle thing???
It has dried up now but It's been bothering me since I've seen them. Any tips appreciated. I was wondering the same thing. Thought maybe it was just me being so used to do HID replacement. I got the new version of the Cyclops LED bulb a couple weeks ago. When I first saw it at night I wasn't really impressed at all. It wasn't as bright as I thought it would be and to be honest I don't know if it's brighter than my stock one since I switched out within a week of having it.
Maybe I should try to install the spacer that came with it. That or I might just switch out for HID. I usually flash my high beam to let cars ahead of me with their indicators on change lanes but it didn't work tonight and caught me off guard. Ordered the Cyclops yesterday.
